Be aware that it acts as a passive adaptor and cannot be used with multiple Mini Displayport displays and an ATI Eyefinity card (also found in current Mac Pros), which require active adaptors (single or dual-link, depending on the display resolution). These cost no more than the (passive) Apple adaptor and are made by a company called Accell.
PROS: Cable provides the utility of a Mini Displayport to DVI adaptor plus a DVI cable all in one - saving the extra weight and connections of using a short adapter and cable. However you may need an active adapter instead of this for use with an ATI Eyefinity setup (see below). CONS: Cable seems fragile and prone to kinks. I ordered two, and both arrived with permanent bends - flat areas that look as if they were run over by a narrow cart or chair wheel. One cable did not function and was quickly replaced by Monoprice. The larger-gauge replacement seems sturdier. I ordered this thinking i'll get the updated displayport adapter (So I ordered 3.
Ended up getting the bigger displayport end (The bigger displayport end doesn't allow for usb to be beside it (Macbook Pro 17) and the quality isn't that great, as it slowly stop working from everyday uses over the course of 4 - 5 months. Contacted support but didn't get much help except return it if you don't like it.
The eulogies for George H.W. The show may go sans host, an insider told the outlet, and instead would feature “a bunch of huge celebs, something ‘SNL’ style, and buzzy people to throw to commercial.” •. But there has also been a rewriting of history about the Bush presidency that needs to be cleared up. Liberals love Bush for the very tax increase betrayal that destroyed his presidency. Bush keep rolling in, and a great American hero's life has been given proper tribute. Bmw k 1200 bobber.
So if your ordering this thinking you'll get the slim one, please beware. This cable is a nice way to eliminate the Apple adapter required to hook a MacBook up to a DVI monitor. But beware that if you have a recent-vintage MacBook Pro, the DP end of this cable is so wide that it will block the adjacent USB port on your computer. I also worry about the stress this cable is putting on the MiniDP port since the long plug gives the cable extra leverage if it hangs at all. Would've been a much better design to put the adapter circuit in the DVI end of the cable where it's not in the way and you don't have to look at it.
PROS: Does exactly what it says on the tin CONS: The MiniDP end of this cable is HUGE.
